SPOTLIGHT SPONSORS
The American Documentary and Animation Film Festival (AmDocs) is proud to continue its partnership with our Spotlight Sponsors -- the City of Palm Springs, Modernism Week, the Palm Springs Public Library, the City of Palm Desert, the College of the Desert, and Synimatica.
The City of Palm Springs is an inclusive, world-class city dedicated to providing excellent and responsive public services to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.
Modernism Week's mission is to celebrate and foster appreciation of midcentury architecture and design, as well as contemporary thinking in these fields, by encouraging education, preservation, and sustainable modern living as represented in the greater Palm Springs area.
The Palm Springs Public Library, with more than 100,000 individual items, has free WiFi and computers available to the public, along with a large collections of best sellers, DVDs, audiobooks, eBooks, CDs and more. The library was featured in a 2018 segment on ABC Television's Jimmy Kimmel Show.
The City of Palm Desert is committed to its Public Art Program that introduces community members and visitors to the City public art collection. The City of Palm Desert Public Art Docent Program offers free walking tours of the City's collection, and each year features the annual Public Art Documentary Film Series, which in May 2019 hosted multiple AmDocs Official Selections at unique "AmDocs Under the Stars" evening screenings at Civic Center Park.
The College of the Desert is a junior college located in the City of Palm Desert, with a School of Fine and Performing Arts, and Film Program. COD's faculty members are an accomplished group of educators whose expertise as working artists, dancers, choreographers, and musicians all contribute to a cultural enrichment of the arts for Coachella Valley residents.
